About CMW

Hello, my name is Shalee Stevens, and I'm passionate about helping others navigate life's challenges through the power of mental health support and counseling.

I graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology from Grand Canyon University in 2020, where I first discovered my deep interest in understanding human behavior and the various factors that influence mental health. This foundation inspired me to pursue further education, and in 2024, I proudly received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health and Counseling from East Texas A&M (formerly known as Texas A&M University-Commerce). In addition to my academic background, I have had the privilege of working with children who have special needs for the past 13 years with the local school district. This experience has been incredibly rewarding, as it has allowed me to build deep, meaningful relationships with children and their families while making a positive impact in their lives. Working with these children has also strengthened my understanding of empathy, patience, and the importance of individualized care. 

Outside of my professional life, I love to travel and try new things—whether it’s exploring different cultures, tasting new foods, or seeking out unique experiences. One of my greatest passions is animals, and I’m proud to share that I have a few exotic pets that keep life interesting and exciting! Despite my love for adventure, I have a fun fact: I’ve yet to travel on an airplane! That’s something I’m looking forward to crossing off my list in the future.
